Apprenticeship grant

Apprenticeship grant

At Unika Danmark A/S it is a special day, especially for our toolmaker apprentice Kalle, who was presented with an apprenticeship grant of DKK 15,000 by Sydbank on behalf of the Sydbank Foundation.

The scholarship should be seen as recognition of the young people who choose a vocational education. Sydbank Fonden wants to reverse a trend that statistics show in Denmark, where there already in 2025 will be a shortage of up to 70,000 skilled workers in Denmark (Cefu).

Sydbank wants to focus on the foundation for the country's business enterprises - namely the apprentices - who improve their skills and train in practical subjects. That development must be put on hold, so we are nominating 60 businesses among our customers to receive an apprenticeship grant. The fact that the choice among 5 other companies in Central Jutland fell on Unika Danmark is due, among other things, to the fact that they have a desire to give as many apprentices as possible, the right tools and the opportunity to improve their skills in the practical tasks that exist in the company. Unika continuously works at high pressure to recruit apprentices who are passionate about improving their skills. It is always difficult to appoint a recipient of such a fine grant, but the fact that it was Kalle is certainly no coincidence. He gets involved, is curious and contributes to development in daily work, with an understanding of materials and processing at the forefront. He wants to make a difference and we want, with the grant, to promote Kalle's desire to improve his skills further at Unika.

Congratulations to Kalle.
