Between October 17 and 21, the Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing took place in Friedrichshafen. This time, Max and Steffen attended for a few days to gather knowledge about plastic injection molding and explore new technologies and opportunities within industrial plastic processing.
This year’s Fakuma fair was the 28th. It was filed by exhibitors showcasing how increased sustainability, digitization, and automation can be achieved in the world of plastics. Among the highlights were new user-friendly, production-efficient hybrid machines that excel in energy efficiency and resource conservation.
The fair also emphasized digital services and intelligent auxiliary functions, featuring live demonstrations of exciting applications, processes, and trends in injection molding and 3D printing.
The trip began with a visit to a modern industrial company, where Unika's composite department's machines are manufactured. The company focuses on long-term sustainability, exclusively producing machines in Germany adhering to the highest environmental and energy standards. Their electricity supply is 100% green, with some produced in-house and the rest sourced regionally.
